Long before modern science, calendars, or clocks, people believed that time itself had intelligence.
The sky was not just something to look at — it was something to listen to.
This is a story from the Puranas that shows how deeply astrology was understood in ancient times.
A Warning from the Sky
In the city of Mathura ruled a powerful king named Kamsa.
He was strong, feared, and confident that no one could defeat him.
One day, during his sister Devaki’s wedding, a voice came from the sky:
“Kamsa, the eighth child of Devaki will be the cause of your death.”
This was not treated as a myth or a joke.
Kamsa believed it immediately.
Why?
Because in those times, astrology was trusted knowledge, not blind belief.
Kings listened to sages. Sages studied planetary movements.
Time was respected.
Out of fear, Kamsa imprisoned Devaki and her husband Vasudeva and killed their children one by one.
But fear cannot stop destiny — especially when destiny moves with time.
The Sage Who Understood Time
A great sage named Narada visited Kamsa.
Narada explained something important:
The universe works in cycles.
When the planets align in a certain way, change becomes unavoidable.
Kamsa understood one painful truth:
You can fight people, but you cannot fight time.
The Night Everything Changed
On a dark and stormy night, Devaki gave birth to her eighth child — Krishna.
At that exact moment:
-
The prison doors opened on their own
-
The guards fell asleep
-
The river Yamuna parted to make a path
This was not chance.
The sages later described this moment as perfect timing — the moon, planets, and stars were all in harmony.
In astrology, this is called a divine alignment.
It was as if the universe itself was helping.
A Father’s Silent Prayer
Vasudeva carried the newborn Krishna across the river in the rain.
Imagine that moment:
A father holding a fragile baby, walking through darkness, not knowing if he would survive.
No mantras.
No speeches.
Just faith — that when the time is right, protection comes naturally.
That is the heart of astrology.
What the Story Teaches Us
This story is not about prediction or fear.
It teaches something simple:
-
Every action has a right time
-
Every phase has a purpose
Life becomes easier when we move with time, not against it
Kamsa failed because he tried to control the future.
Krishna survived because he was born at the right moment.
Why Astrology Still Matters
Astrology is not about controlling life.
It is about understanding the season you are in.
Just like:
-
You don’t plant seeds in the wrong weather
-
You don’t expect flowers overnight
The ancient sages used astrology to gain clarity, patience, and wisdom.
That is why astrology has survived thousands of years.
Not because it is mysterious —
but because it understands time, and time governs everything.
✨ When we respect time, life begins to flow.
